Half the Boxes
Goodwater Union makes modern Americana and indie folk from small, recognisable stories, warm guitars and choruses that stay with you.
About
Goodwater Union sits where contemporary Americana, indie folk and acoustic alternative meet. The songs start with tangible details: a chipped plate wrapped for a move, the kitchen light in a neighbouring house, mismatched chairs pulled into the evening air. These everyday moments open into stories about leaving, reaching out and choosing a new direction. The sound keeps a foot in roots music without leaning on costume or cliche. Fingerpicked steel-string guitars, warm bass and a close, lightly weathered vocal lead the way. Some songs stay small and intimate. Others bring in live-feeling drums, clean electric guitar and a broader chorus, always with the lyric in focus. Across them, Goodwater Union is defined by plainspoken storytelling, memorable melodies and a sense of welcome.
